Rain or shine, these activities are a fun way to fill your kid's with play

-- after fueling up with corn dogs, of course!

Indoor Activity 1/8

Catch

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

Empty State Fair Corn Dogs boxes, small ball

HOW TO PLAY:

  1. Cut the ends from a State Fair Corn Dogs box.
  2. Drop ball into one of the boxes and stand a few feet apart from each other.
  3. Using the box, have Player 1 toss the ball in the air while Player 2 tries to catch, and vice versa.
  4. With each passing round increase the distance between players.
  5. For single-players, have them throw the ball in the air and try to catch it. Refuel with State Fair Corn Dogs, and play on!
Cotton Ball 500

Cotton Ball 500

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

Masking tape, Cotton balls, Straws

HOW TO PLAY:

  1. Fuel up with State Fair Corn Dogs.
  2. Use tape to create a racetrack.
  3. Players step up to the starting line with a cotton ball and a straw.
  4. Whoever blows their cotton ball from start to finish the fastest wins.

Follow the Beat Badminton

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

Paper plates, Craft sticks, Masking tape, Someone to control the music

HOW TO PLAY:

  1. Make a badminton racket using a paper plate and a craft stick.
  2. Mark a "net" on the floor with tape.
  3. Start the music.
  4. Everyone starts with 10 points. If the balloon is on your side when the music stops, you lose a point. First player to zero loses.
  5. Refuel with State Fair Corn Dogs, and then play again!

Milk Jug Catch

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

Scissors, Plastic milk jugs, A lightweight ball, Duct tape, Washable markers

HOW TO PLAY:

  1. Cut the bottoms off the jugs to make a scoop. (Hang on to the part with the handle.)
  2. Cover sharp edges with duct tape.
  3. Decorate, fuel up with State Fair Corn Dogs, and then play on!

Crazy Toes

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

Lots of socks

HOW TO PLAY:

  1. Power up with State Fair Corn Dogs.
  2. Pile socks in the center of the room.
  3. Each player picks a corner.
  4. Shout "Go!"
  5. Everyone runs to the center, grabbing socks using only their toes.
  6. Whoever collects the most socks for their corner wins.

Square Off

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

1 State Fair Classic Corn Dogs box, 1 State Fair Mini Corn Dogs box, scissors, tape, bean bags

HOW TO PLAY:

  1. Cut out the front of a State Fair Corn Dogs box and State Fair Mini Corn Dogs box.
  2. Find an empty hallway and tape both cutouts side by side, leaving space in between.
  3. Mark a toss line and divide the kids into Team Classic and Team Mini.
  4. Divide the bean bags amongst each team's players.
  5. Have the kids take turns tossing the bean bags with the objective of landing the bags onto their team's square.
  6. The team with the most bean bags landed wins.
  7. Enjoy with State Fair Corn Dogs, and play on!

Hall of Spies

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

Painter’s tape, Pom-poms, Sticky notes

HOW TO PLAY:

  1. Give your little ones the fuel they need with State Fair Corn Dogs, and then proceed to step two.
  2. Drop pom-poms on the floor and place sticky notes on the walls.
  3. Create laser beams in a hallway by criss-crossing strips of painter’s tape from one wall to the other, at different heights.
  4. Your little spies will have to collect as many items as possible without tearing the tape down. (If the tape comes down, the game starts over.)

Stick Puzzles

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

State Fair Corn Dogs sticks, masking tape, markers

HOW TO PLAY:

  1. Help your little ones power up with a plate of State Fair Corn Dogs.
  2. Put the sticks side by side and tape them together. Flip the sticks over and draw shapes. Let the kids color them in.
  3. Remove the tape and let the kids play on.

Glow'n Bowl

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

10 bottles (filled ¾ with water), 10 glow sticks, A volleyball or something similar

HOW TO PLAY:

  1. Drop a glow stick inside each bottle, and then screw on the caps.
  2. Line up the "pins," and then knock them down. (Play by the traditional rules, or make up your own.)
  3. Recharge with more State Fair Corn Dogs, and play on!

Lava Monster

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

2-3 Hula-Hoops

HOW TO PLAY:

  1. Whoever loses at Rock, Paper, Scissors is the Lava Monster, and anyone they tag becomes "it."
  2. The only safe zones are inside the Hula-Hoops. After 30 seconds, though, those spaces become lava, and the person inside becomes the Lava Monster.
  3. Whoever’s safe after 10 minutes runs out wins!

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

Chalk, Small sponges, Bucket of water

HOW TO PLAY:

  1. Use chalk to draw a target on the ground.
  2. Mark each section 10, 20, 30 points and so on, with the highest number in the center.
  3. Draw a throwing line.
  4. See who can throw their sponge closest to the center, and racks up the most points.
  5. Refuel with State Fair Corn Dogs, and then play on!

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

Chalk, Toys, Cardboard boxes

HOW TO PLAY:

  1. Fuel up on State Fair Corn Dogs and then play on by turning your driveway into a driving course (for bikes, tricycles, etc.) by drawing turning lanes, double lines and street signs with chalk.
  2. Use cardboard boxes and toys to add roadside attractions and landmarks.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

A bat (wiffle, foam, or whatever works), Water balloons, Water hose

HOW TO PLAY:

  1. Give your little sluggers State Fair Corn Dogs, and head outdoors.
  2. Fill water balloons with water.
  3. Pitch the water balloons, and let your champs swing for the fences.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

A string, an empty State Fair Corn Dogs box, scissors, ping-pong balls

HOW TO PLAY:

  1. Loop a string through 2 corners of an empty State Fair Corn Dogs box and tape the ends closed.
  2. Cut out a 3-4 inch rectangle on the top of the box and fill with balls.
  3. Tie the box around your child's waist.
  4. Play your child's favorite song and have them dance until all the balls fall out.
  5. Enjoy with State Fair Corn Dogs, and play on!

Corn(Dog) Toss

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

Clay pot saucers, toss bags, point markers

HOW TO PLAY:

  1. Assign point values to each clay saucer.
  2. Set the saucers as far apart as desired and mark a tossing line.
  3. Take turns tossing the bags onto the saucers, highest point total wins.
  4. Refuel with State Fair Corn Dogs, and play on!

Power Hoops

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

State Fair Corn Dogs sticks, State Fair Corn Dogs box, small balls, markers

HOW TO PLAY:

  1. Cut the top off of an empty State Fair Corn Dogs box.
  2. Color the sticks, and use them as shooting lines that move farther and farther away from the box.
  3. Pass your little ballers the ball, and see how far away they can shoot.
